The Final Sprint

With most of the school year in the rearview mirror, thoughts of swimming, backyard barbeques and long, hot summer days begin to dance in our heads. But before we pack up the family van, lather up with sunscreen and hit the beach, our students and staff still have to finish what they started. The school year isn’t a sprint, it’s a marathon. Finishing strong is just as, if not more, important than how you started. Many of our students are preparing for summative assessments in different courses and wrapping up culminating projects in others, both of which are opportunities for them to show what they know and demonstrate the growth that they have made during the 2012-2013 school year.
We will continue to provide an environment that supports them in setting high expectations and helps them to plan for those assessments and projects.  Please mark your calendars for our final assessment schedule and early dismissal dates.
