It hit me at about 4:18 during our locker night at WGMS this
past Wednesday as excited (and some nervous) students frantically worked to
open their lockers that summer was just about done. As binders and folders were
neatly placed in lockers (often with mom and dad standing in the
background with huge smiles) the start of a new school year became a stark
reality. The 2012-2013 school year is
just about here and I am as excited as anyone.
Our faculty and staff have been very busy this
summer taking part in a number of professional development opportunities that will
have an instant impact on instruction that takes place across content areas.
Our building looks amazing both inside and out! Mr. Bobey,
our head custodian, and his staff have worked tirelessly to clean and prep for
the arrival of our students. We go live and on-air tomorrow and we are
ready to roll. It’s going to be a great school year!
